The college of the North Atlantic in collaboration with Drone North and Yukon University were successful in receiving a College-Industry Innovation fund to purchase and conduct applied research with a hyperspectral LiDAR UAV system and an underground autonomous mapping UAV.
We have assembled a team of researchers that will focus on different multisensor UAV mapping applications in the mining value chain.
The end goal we envision is a series of best practice workflows using this UAV technology for mining applications. Additionally, we plan to develop advanced image analytics workflows and user-friendly software.
